Top Property Lawyers 2013

In September 2013 PropertyNL, the largest independent real estate research centre in the Netherlands, published its annual list of Top Property Lawyers.

Once again Six Advocaten ranks high in this list: just like in 2011 Six Advocaten ranks twelfth. In the separate list based on property development Six Advocaten once again ranks seventh.

PropertyNL reports that while other law firms shrink, Six Advocaten has expanded with three senior real estate lawyers and had made a fresh start with its move to the new offices at IJdock in Amsterdam.

PropertyNL furthermore writes the following about Six Advocaten:

"The firm is involved in several complex area - and property developments. Usually the legal assistance in these matters comprise several years. Also lawsuits in the field of construction- and property law with which Six Advocaten is involved run for several years. An example of one such legal action related to the determination of the ground rent rate upon reallocation of lease hold land.

Top Property Lawyers 2012

In September 2012 Six Advocaten ranked as a law firm in the category of real estate specialists.

PropertyNL on Six Advocaten:

Top Property Lawyers 2010

In 2010 Six Advocaten was voted newcomer of the year. According to PropertyNL our firm distinguishes itself by a solid construction law and litigation practice, in addition to performing transactions and providing advice in the field of real estate. In 2009 consultancy work performed by Six Advocaten in real estate transactions in excess of EUR 20 million represented a total amount of EUR 174 million.

PropertyNL on Six Advocaten (page 47):

This boutique law firm is the newcomer of the year, employing a total of six real estate lawyers. The partners and founders of this firm all of them used to work for the Amsterdam law firm of NautaDutilh. Golden Hourglass 2010 (“Gouden Zandloper”)

In 2010 Six Advocaten was voted the most promising young law firm of the Netherlands by a professional jury and a panel of lawyers.

The result was announced on 26 March 2010 at the presentation ceremony of the Golden hourglass award, the most prestigious award among lawyers and law firms in the Netherlands.

The elections were organized by KSU Publishers. The professional jury consisted of Floris Croon, founder of Boer & Croon; Steven Schuit, lecturer in international commercial and financial law at the University of Utrecht and partner at Allen & Overy; Christ’l Dullaert, director Le Tableau and Saskia Reuling, lawyer and board member at DLA Piper Nederland.
